The road to the statue is from a dense forest.
Deadly and adventures place.
Hard to climb to the top don't be afraid otherwise u know..
But the view later is great.
U definitely need water to go to the top.
The sunset is awesome to see from the top.

It's an amazing place near Dantewada district in Chhatisgarh. You have to trek for 4 km on mountains to reach the destination of idol of lord ganesha which is at mountain peak. View from that place is too amazing and peaceful, as you can see in images.

Note- Trekking road is from mid forest and it becomes risky near peak point due to large stones, so I will suggest not to take small children and older people or people who have fear from height.
But after reaching the top point, the view and atmosphere you will get, you can not imagine that anywhere around the world.

Another gem of Chhattisgarh hidden deep inside the forest of Dantewada. The lord Ganesha Idol sitting on a rock is said to be almost 1000 years old. The place got national attention when two journalists discovered it in 2012. Ever Since then a lot of tourists visit this place regularly. To reach here you have to trek through dense forests for 4 kms and then climb on rocks for the last 200 metres. At the last point you have to walk on a wooden plank to reach near the idol. Overall the trek will test your physical fitness and it is advisable not to attempt this trek without a guide. Well trained guides are available at the start of trekking point. Also local tourism group provide camping facilities at the start point.

Trekked all the way for 5km (uphill) inside the lush dense forest. The path was Rough bump and slippery at some point. If available wear trekking shoes or any shoe with good grip.

Better take guide because route is pretty confusing and risky. Our guide was very helpful and knowledgeable person. He was the one who motivated us to climb and explained us detailed history of the temple.

I suggest to keep water bottles and other essential items during the trek.

Last 100m trek is quite dangerous because of steep climb and pointed rocks. So stay alert at every point while climbing.

Though the trek was quite tiring 😅
But overall it was an adventurous day. It was breathtaking experience climbing the top of 3000 feet to experience this mesmerizing view, peace and the main attraction the idol of Lord Ganesha ☮️⛰️

Best place for Wanderlust's! 😎

I had wonderful experience on trek. It's a must for anybody who loves nature and trekking. You'll enter from dense forest of Dantewada and end up at peak in Bijapur. I assure you finale is very gratifying but trek is very demanding.
