Kapileshwarnath Mandir

This Holi place is famous for Lord Shiva. This place is awesome and have a big village fare means Mela. The campus of this temple is big and have a lots of small temple. There is a pond near the temple in which people get bath and go for worship. This place is always crowded in every season but in the Savaan season its get very crowded. You will feel peace inside yourself after visiting this place. You can go with your all family. There is a lots of shop of snacks like litti, Samoa, muri, chhola, etc...

A popular place for worship in Darbhanga District. Many people visited there specially on Monday.

It feels weird to give rating to this pace. My parents are from Rahika and Loha (two villages in Madhubani district) abd thus we have frequented this temple every summer vacation.
As a kid, we would be so excited to hear that we are going to Kapileshwar sthan. It is lord shiva's temple and people have faith in him.
Behind the temple there is a lake, where one can take bath before entering the temple. In the compound you would find many shop selling flowers, buckets and other Pooja Samagri. After taking bath, we would rent a bucket and fill it with water from the lake and buy Flowers from the same shop.
Then we would go to the sanctum sanctorum and worship Bhola baba. But when I visited this temple last month, I noticed something I had never noticed before.
The sanctum sanctorum was not clean. The used flowers and leaves were scattered on the wet floor which pilgrims had made muddy.
The pandit ji will come to you so that you take their help in doing pooja in return of money and would ask you to make donation for the maintenance of the temple.
But I dont think they use the money towards it. Nothing has changed in the temple in all these years.
There is market behind the temple where you can buy bangles and bindis and paede and food items, which was my favourite part as a kid.

Jay bhole baba. All the shops and shopkeepers are very friendly and they give very good quality sweets especially Pedas. You will find very good designs of Lahthi here.
