Pitamaheshwar Ghat

This is an ancient Shiva temple located in the predominantly Vaishnavite pilgrim town of Gaya.

Prapitaamaheswara is said to be a witness deity for the performance of the offerings of the pindas to ancestors.

Shiva is worshipped in the form of a Lingam. Gaya and Buddha Gaya nearby have been revered pilgrimage centers of India since antiquity.

This Pitamheshwar That is situated on the bank of the river Falgu,where there is an ancient Temple of Lord Shiva, who is popularly known as Pitamaheshwar and on this landmark the locality is known as Pitamaheshwar Ghat. One another importance of this place is the Temple of Mata Shitala which is situated just south of the Pitamaheshwar Temple which is also a center of devotion for people of Gaya along with the popularity of the sacred river Falgu.

Needs improvement on aesthetics. Spiritually, it is one of the most serene places. A bit partial as some of my best childhood moments are spent here

Historical and a holy place of Hindus so you can guess it already it's not maintained and hygienic most of the except for when there is a big yearly function which kind of a fare for religious people

This place is famous for the pinddan in pitrapakshya for his or her ancestor.

A very important ghat on western Bank of the river Falgu near Mallah Toli ,Gaya Pitamaheshwar Ghat is associated with pind dan activities.Pind dan is performed whole the year at the ghat.Ghat is not well maintained but Shitlamata Temple ,Lord Shiva Temple and the pond are rennovated by using red stone.As it is a very important ghat for pind dan ghat needs to be renovated and maintained.

You will find a temple of bhagwan shiv and hanuman ji shitla mata mandir is situated near by the pond
