Mandar Hill Papharni

Awesome place for Photoshoot and just for adventure purpose. It takes 1⅓ hours to reach the top of the hill. There is lord Buddha's statue in the mandir and view from the top of the hill is mesmerising. Worth the effort that one puts up to reach there. And of you get there at 5-6 am you can even see the sunrise which is also very beautiful. But your toe fingers fell lots of pressure while climbing down. You'll feel it when you'll cover ⅓ of the distance. So be careful with it.
Lastly, must visit the place for once.

Excellent temple & lake premises developed by authority. When I visited last time @25 years back this was very dry place & nothing to offer to other than jain devotees. Nicely developed place. Vishnu temple , nice lake, boating facility, lot of selfie points, shops & so on. Great place.

Mandar Parvat, also known as Mandar Hill is a small mountain situated in Banka district under Bhagalpur division of state of Bihar. It is about 700 ft high and approximately 45 km south of Bhagalpur city of Bounsi, a place located on the state highway between Bhagalpur and Dumka.

How is this place?

The natural view is worth seeing. There is a Vishnu temple in the entire complex and a Jain temple on the hill. There is a Jain temple situated at the highest point. If you climb to the top,

The 800+feet height of rock is easy to climb. Although ropeway has been installed but yet not came into function.
The place has its own hindu and Jain mythological history. It is believed that the great Samundra Manthan happened here.
