Mahabhairab Temple

Mahabhairab is another form if Lord Shiva . So basically its a Shiva temple. Its entrance is so much attractive and the first seen of Nandi vagwan ( bull) give a very beautiful peace. Under the beautiful temple there is a Shiv Linga . Its huge i never seen such a . The Pandit give me some flowers that call santi. Its a mazor attraction of Tezpur town with over 2000 reviews. Really the Cultural capital of Assam .

This is a very beautiful temple and all I can say is if you ask for something it will be fulfilled

The Mahabhairab Temple was originally built by demon king Banasur who was a great devotee of Lord Shiva. The Shiv linga present in the temple is believed to be lively and growing. The tmeple premises are maintained well along with other basic facilities. Overall a place worth visiting.

This temple is believed to have been established by king Bana with a Siva lingam. Formerly, this temple was built of stone but the present one is built of concrete. During the later years, the Ahom kings donated devottar land for the Temple and Pujaris and Paiks were appointed to look after the temple. The responsibility of management was in the hands of a Bordoloi or Borthakur .

Oldest Shiv temple in Tezpur with great relevance. People beware of thiefs and keep your shoes at a safe place.

One of good open space to feel a little religious. It seems to be one of the best temple of Tezpur. I felt the garbh grih could have been cleaner, it has a little stinky smell. You can sit in the compound for a while and that makes you peaceful.

The ancient Mahabhairav Temple is located at a hillock on the northern part of Tezpur
town, Assam. Very nice place for visit with friends and family members. Open space for photography. Near by you can go Big bazaar also during this visit.

Mahabhairab is holy Temple of Shiva which was built by King Bansura. Hindu perform puja. It is decorated on Eve Shivaratri very well. It is managed by Government of Assam.
