Santiban Shiva Temple or Mandir is also known as Monoskamana Mandir. Monoskamana Temple means Wish Fulfilling Temple. It is located in the left hand side of the Santiban Park and Garden. This is a very cool and calm place of worship. The area is covered with trees and flower garden. This is a nice place to spent a few hours with kids and children. Aged people may have a peaceful place to spent a few hours with friends. The Santiban Shiva Temple is not so old, may be exists here for last 30 years. During Shiva Ratri the marriage ceremony of Lord Shiva with Goddess Parvati (As per the Hindu Religious Books) is celebrated with great interests and sactity every year in this temple in the month of February or March as per the day mentioned in the Almanac. On that day this temple becomes the main attraction to the people of Hojai and surrounding areas. The whole garden, park & temple are decorated with flowers, decorative electric bulbs and other on this auspicious day. Devotees offer their belongings and worship the Lord Shiva for his blessings. Over whelming crowds remains in the next day also. Tourists or visitor to Hojai on Shiva Ratri day must visit the place to gather a new and historic experiences on that occasion. The temple of Lord Shiva is inside the Santiban Garden. The place is hardly one kilometre from the Hojai Railway Station.
