This temple is famously known for the belief that unmarried people will get married if they light a diya on 9 or 11 Tuesdays during Rahu Kalam. For nearly 40 years devotees have been lighting the lime diyas inbetween 3-- 4-30 pm in every Tuesday.

Must visit temple in Chittoor. Maa Durga temple is very old and famous in Greamspet main road. Tuesday and Friday Rahukala Puja is quite famous and crowded. If someone has wishes or obstacles in life they pray and light Lemon Diya for 5,9 or 11 weeks wishes will be fulfilled and obstacles get away. Dussehra is celebrated with different decoration for Durgamma. Visit and get the blessings of Powerful Diety .

This Durgamma thalli temple is located on Chittoor -Vellore road , Greamspet in Chittoor town . The statue of Durgamma was found by villagers in nearby place and they brought to this place. The temple was developed in 1700 AD and re built several times. This temple is dedicated to Durga matha and many people gather in thousands to perform rahu kala Pooja with lemon deepams. People offer lemon deepam to Durgamma for early marriages and children on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday during Rahukalam. We felt silent, peaceful and very quiet inside premises. Maintenance is good.
