Historians say that these temples were built in the year 450 BC. Devotees say that visiting Sri Anjaneyaswamy temples in the same star on Tuesdays and Saturdays during the holy month of Shravan will bring good results.
Here Swami is known as Muradi due to his presence of three feet. Muradi in Kannada means three feet. The Raja Gopuram of the temple is very good. In the Gopuram we can see images related to Ramayana around Hanuman.
Sri Muridi Anjineyaswamy Temple is located in Muradi village under D Heerehal mandal of Rayadurgam taluk of Anantapur district. To reach here one has to go through Rayadurgam from Anantapur. It is ten kilometers away from Rayadurgam. The temple is located at a distance of 120 km from the district headquarters. It is at a distance of 45 km from Bellary in Karnataka.Sri Vyasa Rayula installed the idol at three places at the same time. One is Sri Kasapuram Anjaneya Swamy Devasthanam near Guntakallu, Sri Muridi Anjaneya Swamy Devasthanam and Sri Nemakallu Anjaneya Swamy Devasthanam near Rayadurgam. It is remarkable that these three temples are in the same district.
Installed by Vyasa Rayaru the great saint of all times.
The people of this area visit three Hanuman temples in one day on Sravana Maasa
1) Muradi Anjaneya
2) Namakal Anjaneya
3) Kasapur Anjaneya
Because Vyasa Rayaru the great saint has installed Vyayu putra Anjaneya the above places in one day ( all these places are far from each other)
