The Shakti peetham .... Very cool and calm place, you can experience the mother's presence here. One should visit in a lifetime.

My favorite temple.
It was better before they put all the iron cages and enclosures to direct the public in a queue.
Tungabhadra river flows right next to the temple. Though its not clean now for bathing.
Also has many old temples from atleast a 1000 years old. Many of the older temples were painstakingly repaired by the Archeological Survey of India. After Kurnool floods, all the older temples were submerged in sludge, and all of them were cleaned.
There is an exhibition display of some of the idols found in the area, but I never saw it open for public.
Beautiful temple complex in all.

This is a small temple not the actual Jogulamba Shaktipeetam, because of photos we drove to this place. I really don't know how these misleading photos and reviews came about.

It is a great pilgrim center, in Telangana. Near Kurnool city. The temple is one of the greatest Shakti peetam temples. It's bank of krishna Tungabhatra rivers, Srisailam back water.
