Peaceful place and village climate. sri sita rama kalyanam and shiva ratri are big events here. Generally not crowded place there is also small place for tortoises park. They are protected here. Along with srirama temple there are some more small temples in the same premises. Staff here are friendly. Parking place and drinking water facilities are there.

River Champa flows beneath the Hill between Bhaskara Lake and Neelachalam Hills. The idols in the temple are installed by Pandavas during their exile period of 12 years. Sri Pedda Jiyar Swamy installed Ramasthoopam in the temple. One such temple dedicated to Lord Sri Rama is the temple at Ramatheertham in Nellimarla Mandal of Vizianagaram District, Andhra Pradesh. Though the most popular temple dedicated to Sri Rama is in Bhadrachalam in Khammam District, Andhra Pradesh, Ramatheertham is not left behind. Many people visit this temple for its sacredness and serenity it offers. Ramatheertham is also famous for Buddhist monastery and Jain Thirthankars. One can see turtles with marks of Vishnu Namam roaming in the temple premises. There is a temple of Lord Shiva beside constructed in 2007.

Nice trek up the rocky hill. Great view from above. The path can get steep and rocky, so watch out. And towards the top, the railing is a little rickety. Caution needed with active kids

It is an ancient ramalaya situated in Ramatheertam village 12 kilometres away from Vizianagaram town. Highly underrated temple, must visit place if you are a Hindu devotee and fond of visiting holy places. Temple is well maintained, staff are friendly. Temple is sorrunded by hills, mountains and water bodies. You can find beutiful nature around and on the way to temple. Walking up the hill to visit the old temple is an awesome life time experience. Woman, elders and children should stay away from climing the hill. The steps are too steep and little dangerous at the top. I only realised when I went there.
