And is very popular during Dussehra navarathri's from morning 5am to evening 6pm .
This temple used to have ferry (passenger boat) before 10 years , now available only on Dussehra with ticket price of ₹30 , one can have a short trip on sea waters .
Only route is to drive yourself or get down at Hindustan Shipyard Limited and take an auto . No public busses are available .Its a 30 minutes drive from city.
Having a peaceful atmosphere , this temple surrounding is calm and far away from regular traffic and almost zero noise pollution , located near Dolphin hill , behind hindustan shipyard .
It has play area for kids, car parking and and shop for Pooja items during temple visiting hours
The temple is in height and isolated environment. The main temple is of Goddess Durga and there are other temples of lord Shiva also. You can visit here with your family and friends as a picnic spot.
Outside the temple there are some park swings for the amusement of children.
The temple is located in an awesome location sharing the hill of Dolphin nose of VSKP light house.
There is wonderful view point of a dockyard situated right adjacently down the hill where it depends to meet the waters.
There was a well amount of parking space available during late afternoon by the time, we visited with a private taxi (there is not a very well connectivity established with public transport)
There was no restrictions on taking photos of the temple but herein I attached of the ones from the dockyard view point.
The Pujari (priest)of the temple is very courteous and non-commercial and conveys devotees' emotions to the Goddess, and it is a must-visit for everyone.
This is a holy place with a good view towards the Visakhapatnam seaport.
The temple area is so nice and cosy that families can party with the home made food during the Karthika month.
Do not miss to explore the surrounding port area for nice photo sessions.
Suggest you to take boat ride if you haven’t tried.
