Once it was a famous school in Karur. But now it has lost its colour. They haven't upgraded in the competition. The school is in a peaceful location. One might enjoy the atmosphere, but the quality of teaching has to be improved.

Great school. Once on a time the best school for karur district. Still good coaching. Not expensive, simple enough atmosphere to educate.

Did my 6th standard here in the year 1988.Previous year was a day scholar hence hostel life initially didn't suit me so it took some weeks to get accustomed. Teaching & food was good and hostel facilities were ok. School followed the Hindu principles strictly hence no relaxation. It was administered by Swamji's. School had phenomenal strength. Plenty of buses were there. Campus was huge on the outskirts of Karur. Majority of parents admitted their students here for discipline. I was afraid of many teachers especially math's teacher as they used to beat like anything. Am sure those beats current students can't bear. Those times you can't even tell your parents the pain we had due to communication if you are in a hostel.
If water flows in Amaravathi river school would take us for a bath. We use to pray god for good rains so that we can have fun with friends. Annual day celebrations would be a tribute to watch as the crowd would be huge and good entertainment for few days. We used to long to watch T.V as there was no chance for it.
During Maha Shiva Rathri we have to fast from previous day night till next day evening. During this time each class had to go in a batch and sing songs. This is applicable for all classes from lower to higher grade. Some students fainted without food. According to me we must fast for God but not like the above scenario. Then in the evening you would be served with limited food.
The worst part of the school are below incidents. Every week all hostel boys in order would be asked to clean all the toilets. No matter who you are, rich or poor and you like it or not you have to clean. According to me we can clean our house toilets but not school toilets as am not the only one using it.
Last but not the least unfair brutal practice is if a student escapes from the school and comes back he would be tied with a chain to a wood which he need to carry along with him wherever he goes inside the campus. We didn't have photos those time other wise I could show you so that you can understand it well as my writing might not make you understand. Finally unfair to any human is if he escapes with one leg punishment and comes back to school he would get the same treatment for another leg also. Oh my god I can't even imagine that scenario to any student in my life on any situation. Imagine how the student would feel when other students look at him in that situation. He would literally feel
depressed at that moment and no one can convince him. What will be the fate of that student. Don't we have any other treatment in the world apart from this nasty punishment. The person who pioneered this punishment not sure what creature he is ? Am not sure this practice is still there.
If it is there now also then God save those students first.
