Shipyard Discount Supermarket

Good Consumer Store at Thevara, managed by the Kochi Shipyard Employees Society. Well managed and beautifully maintained, and they gave maximum price discount offers. Very helpful staffs are the another highlight of the store, they managed professionaly to the customers.

It's one of the big supermarket at Ernakulam owned by the cooperative society of shipyard employees....this is an all in one store , where one can get everything to a home ,with a vast area...the supermarket is before the shipyard and opposite to the thevara road at thevara MG Road junction...household items utensils, groceries, vegetables etc is available,. The price is competitive and affordable, and discount items are also there...there is enough parking slot is available..

Good place to shop. There is much difference in prices for many items considering outside stores.I strongly prefer this place for others without a second thought

This is a very good place to shop. It's original idea was our great Engineer, E Shridharan's when he was heading Kochin shipyard. All items are priced below MRP. For example, a tea cup that costs ₹450 in Lulu hypermarket is found here at ₹42.
Vegetables are sold here separately meaning u need to purchase and bill groceries and vegetables seprate.
Rice and vegetable oils are billed in check out though they're collected after billing. So it's a bit inconvenience as I am not familiar with names of rices apart from Kuthari and vella ari. I believe this confusion can be avoided if a small sample is displayed at billing if possible.

Parking is ample except Sundays. You reach that premises, a medical store first, super market, fragrance stuff like soap, toothpaste etc at first, then plates and glasses such things then absolute groceries like powders, ghee like stuff, some stationaries, gardening stuffs, some clothes etc billing desks, a walk way to the rice and oils, then a vegitable area. Exit.

One can get quality stuff from here...at the same time . One can do Monthy purchases , I mean for home, from this shop.It is highly economical.

One of the few supermarkets in Kochi offering good discount rates for daily essentials, groceries, and other small home appliances. They give additional discount for those having membership..
