This is International Cargo Complex for export and import of shipments overseas. Tasks include Inspection, Customs Clearance, loading-unloading of cargo etc. Navigation is tricky as you have go past old terminal building all the way upto Metro Rail project and then the complex is on the right side. Must come with your with passport, PAN card and bring food as the complex doesn't have any food vendors.

Be prepared for spending hours (4 in my case for import clearance) to complete the process.

Dumdum airport is one of the oldest and popular of the India from British era, after freedom this airport was known as Netaji Subhas Canadra Bose International Airport, controlled by Airport Authority of India. It's the gate way if Eastern India. A good number of lodge and restaurants facilities available here but the area is now over pooulated and clumsy, better take more time in hand for flying from Dumdum airport.

Airport Authority of India, India's one of the largest metro city and once the capital (1772-1912) of British India, Kolkata is located on the east bank of the Hooghly, a channel of the Ganges, 154 km upstream from the Bay of Bengal. Growing beyond its British colonial foundations, Kolkata assimilated strong European influences to create an amalgam culture that found early expression in the life and works of the 19th-century Bengali elite and its best known personality, Rabindranath Tagore. Kolkatans are said to possess a rare joie de vivre that manifests itself in their penchant for art and culture and a level of intellectual vitality and politico.
