Passport Seva Kendra(Purulia)

Its good that in a sub-village and town like Purulia, passport office has opened. But guess what? The people are still typical purulians who have an attitude of demoralizing others and a very narrow minded staff. If you stay in west bengal, i request you to kindly make it from Kolkata since their service is very nice and the passport will reach you on time. Do not waste time in purulia. If you still have more than 2 months in your hand and lots of patience then you are always welcome in this office

First of all it's very helpful for all the people of Purulia that they don't have to travel Asansol or Kolkata for passport any more. The employees at this POPSK are very helpful & kind . Nothing to say it's 5 out of 5.

It is located near nistarani women's college purulia....after applying for passport in online portal you have to report here for verification on reporting date sent by passport seva online portal....the staff present here are supportive and helpful. They will check your documents and capture a photo for uploading purpose and this photo will be printed on your passport so it's better to go with formal dress up because passport is used mainly for professional manner....some year ago there is no psk in purulia so people from Purulia have to go another district where the nearest psk is locatef, it's a great relief for the people of Purulia district.

Well behaviour of the staffs, co-operative and very helpful.

Worst PSK ever. The officer in charge is outright rude and uncooperative. He himself does not know what all documents are required and is contradicting the document advisor in the passport seva portal. I went there for correction in parent's name as my father's middle name was missing in my current passport. He said to provide newspaper clippings of the same. Nowhere is it mentioned in the passport portal to provide with newspaper clipping for parents name correction, its only required for self name change. In this case, only parents passport should be enough for verification.But he is adamant on the clipping and is refusing to process without it. Would strongly request the passport seva Kendra to please assign competent officers in these type of district towns.
