Nice light house..... built by Soraine family in ancient times to provide nautical guidance merchant ships to Gopalpur port now in possesion of state govt. The architecture is quite interesting. If you are lucky then you may get to visit the place and climb atop to witness majectic view of beach and the architecture. The light house is still fully functional. Must visit by commuters who are visiting Gopalpur.

The small town of Gopalpur used to be an ancient port which fell into ruin, but regained its importance to maritime trade during British colonial rule. Today it survives on fishing as its main industry, and a pristine beach with unforgettable views of the sunrise. Overlooking the beach stands the Gopalpur Lighthouse, lone and imposing in its red and white stripes. The original mast-light, established in 1871, was replaced by a skeletal tower in 1925. The lighthouse as it stands today was commissioned in 1967.

Nice but now it's a restricted area no visitors and tourist are allow to go inside the lighthouse premises and to climb the lighthouse. One can watch the lighthouse from the beach and outside the lighthouse boundary. This lighthouse is just adjecent of Song of the Sea hotel.
