The Office of the District Collector Palakad is situated on the first floor of the Palakad Civil Station complex.I have very often visited this place during my official tenure of more than a decade in Palakad District and I am very much familiar with this place.The District Collector is also the District Magistrate having Executive powers to Promulgate Prohibitory orders as and when serious Law and order problems occurs.He is the head of the District Administration and every other officer is only second to him.
