The Court of Judicial First Class Magistrate (1) is situated inside the District Court complex located behind the Palakad Civil Station.The Judicial First Class Magistrate Court is empowered to conduct trials of criminal cases which are classified as first Class offences as per schedule one of Criminal procedure code.In respect of Sessions Cases the preliminary procedures including remanding of accused persons apprehended are done by this court.
