The post of Advocate General is a statutory one and all legal matters in which the State is a respondent is handled by the advocate General and the team under him.The prosecution of Criminal cases are being handled by the Director General of Prosecution and the team under him.Being situated very near the High Court it is very convenient and helpful for the officials coming to this office for official purposes.
