Sub Court/ Assistant Sessions court is situated on the first floor of the court complex situated at Thoppumpady.The sub Court is empowered to conduct trials of civil cases where the value of the subject matter exceeds Indian Rupees ten lakhs.As regards the powers of Assistant Sessions court is concerned the Asst sessions court is empowered to conduct trials of sessions cases allotted to it by the District and sessions court except those cases punishable with imprisonment for life or capital punishments.The court premises are kept very neat and tidy.
