Barasat District Hospital

It's a government hospital, totally free service available. Ambience is quite crowded, over all treatment is good & behaviour of doctors, nurses, staffs okay as we know.

Barasat District Hospital is the only reliance for the treatment of Barasat town and surrounding villages. It was established many years ago. Thousands of patients come here every day for treatment. The service is a bit better than before. This hospital has been dirty for a long time. But now it is kept clean regularly. The behavior of the hospital staff is better than before. There are many departments, including the emergency department. There is a resting place for the patient's family, day and night ambulance service and a fair price medicine store. However, so far many critical patients have been transferred to hospitals in Kolkata. This hospital failed to provide quality fast service. This hospital failed to take the pressure of millions of people as there was no other big hospital nearby. The hospital does not have high quality equipment, surgery, high quality medicine and high quality doctors.

I wish I could give the points on negative . Our patient was admitted for two days but still no one informed about what issue happened to her. They only admitted her for two tests which could have been easily done outside. Doctor was seen nowhere and nurses don't know anything. Stupid people and staff with inappropriate behavior . People who are on emergency should never opt for this place.

The behaviour of the nurses and staffs are so bad . They are doing persiality. Many people who give their documents for x-ray at 11am they have not got the services yet now(14:54) but who have submitted after that time they have got the service . When we are going to ask them they are behaving rudely. Very bad service at everywhere in Govt. Hospitals .
I'm requesting humbly please solve these problems and exchange the staffs.

Hospital was good.
Hygiene and clean environment.
But there was not much of sitting places.
Waiting list was very long.
The entrance of gate 11 need to be made an road instead of mud road.
Blood bank and hospital were accessible.
Wheel chair also there.
Overall i rate it 5 stars.

Last night 1/1/23 I admitted my mother for chest pain and shortness of breath. she was discharged today(3/1/23)
We asking many times what is the cause of this pain but they say nothing. I noticed some problems in these 2 days
1.There is no time table for talking to doctor.
2. Rough behaviour of nurses.
3. unclean Hospital premises.
4. Lots of mosquitoes.
