Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Government Hospital, Tiruchirappalli

I was going there for my Brother's medical for joining in govt office. Firstly, i asked for auto for MGM HOSPITAL FROM TRICHY STATION, he demanded 150 rupee. I refused and seaching for bus. I went Central Bus Stand( walking distance from trichy railway station). And I board a bus named GH bus , conductor charged me for 6 rupee only. Avoid AUTO, Search Bus.

Treatments are very good but Very poor Maintenance, rats are freely roaming near to maternity wards and surrounding areas, in all the wards including watchman always asking money from attenders those who come with patients, even in mortuary they got bribes around 2000 rupees from everyone to do the post mortem. government should take responsibilities to solve these kind of problem.. because poor and middle class family only going there for treatments

Government have improved every treatments quality and infrastructure for the patients. Very busy hospital, so we should ensure not to disturb any of the staffs (Doctors, Nurses, Securities and etc.). Very experienced staffs treating patients with more care.

I experienced terrible experience on end of July 2021 we shifted my father from other private hospital to this government hospital my father was suffered from covid we admitted here at 11.30 pm at midnight there is no duty doctor available on that time only one nurse was available she could take care of 800 patients at 1 am they injected some injection on trips of my father at 3.30 am my father died at 4 am only due to our request nurse called duty doctor after he came and check my father pulse and he told my father was died.my father worked as railway station superintendent officer category.also one more thing rats 🐀 are freely roaming in that ward doctor and nurse are heavily paid all are because of our tax money...mostly night shift duty doctors not available in any wards I checked all wards to consult with doctor...government must take strict action.....why duty doctor unavailable at their duty time.....if doctor treated our father on time my father was saved but nurse told my father was critical but one hour they not give any treatment to my father.i forget one thing duty doctors are sleeping more than 800 patients admitted on two floors only two doctors available and 4 nurses but only one nurse is working duty doctor only one available at 4 am also he was sleeping and he shows rude behaviour. Government conduct surprise raid at night u may know real situation on Government hospital trichy.

Mahatma Gandhi Hospital or GH in Trichy. It's a state govt hospital.
Treat for most of the disease at free of cost.
Also produces the doctors and staff nurses.

The hospital known as periyaspathri, by our local people, acts as pet it's nick name, how ever it needs lots of improvement, as old buildings, with poor drainage, and toilet facilities, to renovate to new, 24hours o.p., night food to in patients, and their attenders, good attention by wheel chair pullers I.e. without bribe, and more attention on patients, are all needed as well and good.

The hospital was very big and all departments located inside the hospital such as maternal care,child care, eye care, department of radiology, emergency care and many more..inside hotels and canteen also there and for parking bike and car parking space is there.. OP patients can see doctors from 8 am to 12 pm so visit this time if you want to see a doctor and for x-ray and ECG also till 12 pm noon..

I admitted my mom on Gh due to digestion problem she is unable to eat , vomitting , we ve worried much and checked in some hospitals nothing cured .. but I got treatment in gh for two times and for my mom one time for different illness but the service was very worst.. but the department of surgical gastroenterology was very good my mom has been hospitalized for 21 days she undergone an operation , now she is able to eat and very healthy , the doctors belongs to this department is very good , polite and caring I have ever seen this much polite doctors in Gh during past treatments. My special thanks to all the doctors and nurses belongs to this SGE department my special thanks to Dr Sam Joseph , Dr Asish , Dr Karthick , Dr sankar not only as doctor they are very caring persons , I have heard doctors are god's the word belongs to them most .. Thanks for all the doctors ..
