CN College - CHIKKAIAH NAICKER COLLEGE

Good environment. Many states level and central level examinations are also being conducted here. Had a good experience in this college. The infrastructure is little bad as 67 years old. Good green belt around the college with lot of tree that reduces the external sounds. The college is also elevated to top level from the city.

32 years i served in this college.
So many students of this college are now in good positions.
i feel glad to see them. The great Police officer Mr.K.Vijayakumar served in this institution teaching English to the students some years ago.
Some entered politics and became as Ministers. Now this is a co-educationl
institution.The fees are normal.

CN College has an Excellent and Talented Teachers and Good Hospitality Non Teaching Office and Admission Staffs.

Very poor management... If mobile phones are ceased from students they are not handing it over even to their parents...not good practice

NAAC accredited this college with 'A' grading! The grading is purely for the faculty and their qualifications alone. With respect to facility available this college won't even pass, no sanitation facility, sub paar labs. But the staffs blance these drawbacks with their quality. But the library is vast with 40,000+ books with completely digitised indexing service. I finished my UG and PG in physics from here, if the staffs are supported with appropriate facility they may do wonders.

This college offers UG and PG courses apart from Research Programmes . UG courses are offered in the following disciplines. B.A, B.B.A, B.COM , B.Sc in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology . PG courses offered are in Economics, Physics and Zoology . M.Phil and Doctoral programmes are also offered.

The college is situated atop a small hillock . There are two pathways to the college . One is a motorable driveway and the otherone is an ascending open stairway . Another small hillock exist on it's right . Naturally trees and greenery can be seen on it's entire campus . I studied there doing my PRE UNIVERSITY COURSE , equivalent to the + 2 of today and completed my Under Graduation in B.Sc ( Chemistry) during the academic years 1968 to 1971. A learned Educationalist Shri. Ananthapadhmanabha Nadar was my Principal. A terror filled personality Shri .J.S.A .ALAN happened to be the Head of Zoology Department . He is strict to the core and a disciplinarian to the hilt . He commanded so much of respect and fear that we attended his classes with devotion and fervour. The GUIDE written by him for PUC was then very famous , that even students of ST. JOSEPH'S COLLEGE of TIRUCHY followed it . ST. JOSEPH'S COLLEGE was the most sought after college in the whole of TAMILNADU then. Those are golden days in my life .

The atmosphere of the college was conducive to learning . I attended the college as a hostelier and the food offered at the hostel mess was great .

The college then was for men , but now I think it is a co- education and a government aided college( Recently the college was made a GOVERNMENT COLLEGE ) . It was founded in the year 1954 . It was the only college in Erode which was then part and parcel of COIMBATORE district. I think VASAVI COLLEGE then started functioning in a private building in METTUR road .

Once in a month a TAMIL CINEMA will be screened for the benefit of students in an open auditorium. Public nearby will also come to view the cinema . துலாபாரம் சினிமா ஒரு முறை திரை இடப்பட்டது. அது மாணவர் எங்கள் மனதை வெகுவாக பாதித்து பண்படுத்தியது. கண்ணீர் உப்பிட்டு காவேரி நீர் இட்டு கலையங்கள் ஆடுது சோறு இன்றி, இதயங்கள் ஏங்குது வாழ்வின்றி என்ற வைர வரிகள் எங்கள் மனதில் சமுதாய சிந்தனைகளை மேலோங்க செய்தது. That was a golden period .

One of the Oldest college in erode .for long period building s are not renovated.if it renovated it could be seems good.lot of local people came to study.low fees.bustop nearer to college.
