Sri Meenakshi Government College for Women

One of the oldest colleges in Madurai. Only government college present inside the Madurai city. Only for women. It has buildings built by British government also.

Very worst experience received from staffs of English department. Rude behaviour towards students who come for councelling. Asking, why are you coming here as if they are the owners of college. Makes students to wait for long time and not considering their difficulties

I am a student of this college. Relationship between this college and myself from 1975 to 2008. It's a "A' grade college... It's u nder taken by UGC .I love my college. It's Located near by VAIGAI RIVER.. More than Three thousand students and Four hundred staff are in the college. The second college in strength and other facilities in TAMILNADU IN INDIA. I was very proud of my college.

I visited Botany department for BOS meeting 2022. Very interesting and department staff are good and knowledged.

Am an alumna of this college. I've done both my UG (1988-91) and PG (1991-93) in Geography. Also proud to share that I was a university rank holder in both UG and PG. Our college had provided a good learning atmosphere to all students.

I was there for a exam, unlike the other centres alloted by TNPSC this campus was very untidy, no co-ordination many such drawbacks

Staffs are really gentle and lovely place
