The block is at the peak, so have a scenic view. The fog just makes it even cooler. There is a little shortage of water at times, and a few minutes hike from college canteen.
Apart from that, the scenic beauty is mind blowing.

The department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering started functioning right from the beginning of Govt. Engineering college, Idukki, in the year 2000. The four year B-Tech course admits sixty students each year. Six numbers of lateral entry students are also admitted in the third semester.

The course is focused on developing quality engineers in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering for the benefit of the society. The Department also offers PG program in Power Electronics & Control which started functioning from the year 2011. The department has well equipped laboratories namely Electrical Machine lab, Power Electronics and System lab, Electronic Circuit and Digital lab, Software lab and Electrical Work shop. Experienced and competent teachers & technical staff add to the strength of the department.
