This is a basic restaurant serving yummy authentic Goan food. We tried the Special Fish thali and it was really really good. Fish was very fresh. For dinner we had pork sukka and chicken cafreal.
We've been at Palolem for a week and honestly this was the best food we've had yet.
Don't miss it when you're at Palolem.
Went here after a brief search on google.
Man the food was so amazing that we went twice to this place. Would have visited again if we were staying longer.
We had Rian special fish thali, prawns in vindaloo curry and rice and pompfret tawa fry on our first visit.
The owner of the restaurant is so welcoming, suggested good options according to our preferences.
Prawns vindaloo was not a dish mentioned on the menu, but he made it specially for us.
On our second visit, I wanted to eat chicken, again after the suggestion of owner I ordered chicken thali with chicken cafreal dish(I had tried same dish in North Goa and man I was so disappointed and shared my bad experience with owner as well. He was confident that I will like the same dish here) and pork sausage curry with rice. We were blown! So delicious and authentic Goan food.
After talking to owner we got to know he has 11 years of experience on the deck as the head of food department. But he came back after quitting the job as he wanted to serve local Goan food!
It was a really humbling experience. Must visit if you are in Palolem.
If you eat seafood or love experimenting, not coming to Rian's during your Palolem stay will be a big miss.
We had modso fish, squid butter chilli garlic and chorizo pulav and it was amazing. The squid was so soft and delicious. Chorizo pulav was really tasty and was made from scratch. Good food takes time...
Must visit if you are in south Goa.
