I was saddened to see the dusty, grubby Kartal Baug also known as Senior Citizens Park. The so-called park has nothing that qualifies it to be named a park or garden. There are no plants, no flowers, no trees, no lawns; there is absolutely nothing alluring in the park. A small neglected area with a few dirty, broken benches, stray dogs, and homeless people, squeezed between an extremely busy, dusty street and a Lake, is reserved for senior citizens. The outside wall of park, facing the street, is used freely by males to make water; the whole area, inside the park and outside on street, stinks very badly. What a shameful sight! Is there no one responsible in Junagadh Municipal Corporation to stop this disgraceful act of uncivilized, irresponsible people? Do Junagadh's citizens and seniors deserve this? Don't they deserve better? Kartal Baug is a very bad show piece of Junagadh Municipal Corporation. It speaks volumes about the work and integrity of JMC and local politicians.
