Well the designs were a bit old fashioned, when I got a Dining table and Cot.
The pleasant surprise was when we needed to get them polished about five years later. The guy who came to do the polish in Bangalore was like "where did you get these furniture... they don't just make these kind of real teak solid wood and that too in such Heavy Designs." He was literately touching and feeling the chairs in amazement.( It was a bit odd seeing a grown man kinda talking to wood if you know what I mean). The furniture I got were handmade.Now though you can still get handmade heritage designs, they have now some CAD wood lathe that they showed me, It's mindblowing set of patterns on wood. Didn't even know such delicate works were possible on wood.
