Roadside restaurant cum dhaba for the people coming and going out of North Sikkim. Food quality is normal. You will get veg and non-veg both type of foods. Price is ok.

Just another roadside shack on the way to Lachung. The taxi and tour operators have linked up with this place to provide lunch to the tourists. We were left with no other option to dine elsewhere. Below average hygiene and just about ok kind of food optins to contend with!!!! Perhaps better choices were available in that area but as tourists we weren't aware of them.

On the way to Lachen and Lachung, this is one of the places where taxi drivers park to feed the passengers as there are no restaurants ahead till the destination.
We ordered 6 items here: Veg chowmein - 1/5. Not good. Too oily, too many coriander leaves for a Chinese dish. Fried veg momo - 3/5. Not good, not bad. Roti sabzi - 0/5. Terrible sabzis and dal. Inedible. Egg fried rice - 2/5. Edible, but not good. Shanghai chicken noodles - 0/5. The noodles became crispy like an unintentional chop suey. Schezwan veg noodles - 3/5. Okay-okay.
Service is very slow, they take 10 mins to take order and 30 mins for service. We went to Gupta restaurant on the opposite side while going. That one is better.

This Dhaba falls in between your Journey from Gangtok to North Sikkim ( Lachung/Lachen/ Gurudongmar Lake). If you have pre-booked your North Sikkim journey via any travel agent, chances are that your driver will pause here for your lunch break for which you don't have to pay as it is included in the package itself. The Food is average, but as per location and locality it's acceptable. The good thing is that it's kind of a buffet system with unlimited vegetarian/non- vegetarian food. But on the day we visited it was only egg, don't know whether they change their menu or not. You'll get a view of the Kangchenjunga range if the sky is clear.

We had to wait for over 2 hours to get our order (chilli chicken x 2 + egg chowmein x 2 + Chiecken Thukpa).
On the top of that the waiter who was serving the food mistakenly was taking our order to some other table, and when we realized the order was ours, we called out the waiter. He rudely asked us why we didn't call him out sooner. Its as if we are customers at this restaurant and yet we are supposed to know whose order they are carrying. Awesome!
The only reason I gave a 2 star as the fiod was good (not great). .

Washroom is good, also food too, best place to rest and eat and use bathroom.
