Pithoragarh Airport, also known as Naini Saini Airport, is in Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand, India. The airport was constructed in 1991 for administrative use and planned for the operations of Dornier 228 type aircraft.[1] The State Government plans to upgrade it to Category 2C airport under Visual flight rules (VFR) conditions to facilitate operations of ATR-72 type of aircraft. Recently the commercial services to the capital city Dehradun and Pantnagar have been started. It is 4.5 kilometers from Pithoragarh city centre

It's a nicely maintained small airport serving quite a large area of hills. Unfortunately the flights are irregular snd enquire before you make plans relying on it. Flights from Delhi and Pantnagar are regular as per planned schedule.

Pithoragarh . (Kumaoni: पिथौरगढ़) is a Himalayan town with a Municipal Board in Pithoragarh district in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. It is the largest organised semi-urbanised to urbanised town in Kumaon.The town has all the facilities including an airport. It has become an education hub of the hilly region as the town has Laxman Singh Mahar Govt.P.G.College, Seemant Institute of Technology, now known as Nanhi Pari Seemant Engineering Institute and a nursing college catering to the needs of all the nearby towns as well.
