Court of almora is a historical place the court was the fort of the ruler of almora in olden time it's name was MALLA MAHAL and from there one can watch the whole almora at a glance .

Though it is currently the court of almora but it has its own golden past . The past when the same building served as the capital center of kumaun and known as 'Malla mahal'(upper castle). The architecture of the building is just mind blowing that even the britishers don't try to change it and make their city office there without changes. See how pahadi kings used to live .
