Disaster Management & Rehabilitation Department

Directorate of Disaster Management and Rehabilitation is a full fledged Department of the Government of Mizoram dedicated to managing natural disasters in the state encompassing Risk Management and Crisis Management. Provide financial relief to the natural calamity victims, imparts training to various stakeholders at different levels, deals with capacity building of CBOs, Govt. Officials, community and Response Teams with focus on mitigating the severity and impact of disasters, preparedness to deal with different type of disasters, prompt response to any calamitous event, search and rescue of disaster victims, rendering medical First Aid as well as rehabilitation and reconstruction. The Directorate itself is a State Emergency Operation Center for the state of Mizoram.
