A very nice eco-friendly place with ample space for various departments. There are facilities for sports, Cafeteria, small temple. Cons: parking for visitors (need to park on the main road causing inconvenience to road users when there is enough space inside), High power Electricity transmission lines passing right above the main building and Cafeteria (not good for health in the long term), location is very remote, institute dominated by Andhra people.

Good college, green campus, good cricket ground, cordial staff. Cricket lovers!! You've got a good green ground.

Chennai Institute of Technology, Kundrathur is an amazing place for young minds to start they're journey. It provides plenty of opportunities in academic, technical and cultural perspectives. If, as a student you can balance your academics along with co- and extra-curricular activities, CIT is the best place for you to explore your future. As a student, I've experienced it firsthand that our college and staff encourage every student to take part in various out-of-classroom activities. And when the exam time arrives, they not only expect us to study properly, but help, and guide us through every step. My experience at Chennai Institute of Technology so far has been delightful!

Good infrastructure. But worst with inaugural function. When you are conducting function, it should be properly organized by your staff members instead no members were available at the end of function. Parents were facing issue in going out of auditorium. And when you fix timing at the time of food, you should atleast provide snacks or water bottle. You are paying for a special guest and providing them all, but sadly parents paying fees for you leaving your campus with guidiness.. Please think.. Worst ever faced college or school function

As usual, I went here for a RRB Exam. The institute has almost all facilities. It's a new one. There is a lot of space to sit and walk around. Ambiance is quiet. If you are coming from central railway station, take a local train to come Tambaram. Then take a bus. I guess it was 86. It's difficult to get bus from the college side to Tambaram. Around 1 hr gap is there between one and another. After the exam we missed one bus. So we took autto to Kundrathur (₹150) then took a bus to Tambaram. So transportation is bit difficult here.
The institute infrastructure is very good. Food court was different counters. That felt so relaxing. There is lot of space for companions to rest. Overall very good experience comparing other TCS iON Exam centers.

Not a good environment to grow on. First of all I study there and every year first year students will be asked to post a positive reviews on quora, google, reddit, shiksha. These websites are checked most for colleges and will drag poor students who have good cut off. Thats how i joined this awful college. I find it untolerable from first. Other than dress code all other are strict rules including expecting 100% attendance and not leaving in between classes even for emergencies. Bus fees are compulsory and donation aka bribe is compulsory for management quota. Its not worth even a rupee for the 2.5 lakhs i paid for (ECE dept 2022). They do excellent marketting but has no facilities inside at all) overprices canteens and xerox shops are unbelievable.
TO categorise:
Classroom: 2/5 (Dingy classrooms. You won't get to see the classes until u got admission. they loook very bad).
Toilets and bathrooms: 2/5 not cleaned at all. Maybe 3 weeks once. Hostel bathrooms are even worse.
Hostel rooms: 1/5 The worst. 6 people occupy rooms meant for only 4. 2 would have to sleep on the floor. Bathrooms are always crowded since there is only 1 per floor.
Canteen: 2/5 overpriced and sometime food is terrible.
xerox shop: overpriced. Hostel student have no choice to buy there.
Strictness: 1/5 rating one is for dress code but nothing else is good. Hostel students are not allowed outside other than 2 outpasses every semester. You can either go home or outing in chennai. The location of the college is th worst part. It is so far from the city.
I hope no people with high cutoff join here. I had hight cut off and got cheated and dragged here. There are so many better colleges. Even for lower cutoffs dont join with donation atleast.
