Department is established in 1983 (as Power system) currently recognized as Electrical Engineering. The department has developed the infrastructure for imparting training and education which includes well equipped laboratories.
The Department runs U.G Program (Electrical Engineering), P.G. Program (Energy Management System), and Ph.D Research Center.
One of the best H.V. Labs in central India (200-KV AC, 140-KV DC, 140- KV Transient)
The Department also established ENERGY PARK and BIO GAS plant in college campus funded by Government of India.
The Department has good academic record with 2 Ph.D, 2 pursuing Ph.D and other are ME/M.Tech and continuing research activity by paper publications. Most of them have completed their education from NITs, Government College of Engineering and reputed institute.
Apart from academic the department is always taking prime interest in overall development of the students such as excellence in higher education, communication skill, Personality development and developing moral ethics.
