BHOPAL: The Income Tax Department’s raids on five major private educational institution groups of the State this past Thursday are claimed to have revealed tax thefts totalling Rs.100 crore, undeclared property worth crores of rupees, over 15 lockers and alleged proof of irregularities in admissions.

About 50 teams of over 250 officers of the IT Department along with 150 policepersons raided five well-known business groups -- L.N.C.T., People’s Group, R.K.D.F., Swami Vivekananda group and Globus Colleges -- owning educational institutions in and around Bhopal.
