Good college with good sports facilities but need to improve basketball court , and many other courts . The condition of ground become drastic during heavy rains .
Should pay more attention towards the maintenance and drinking water facilities.

Government Degree College is the co-ed college in Kathua, Jammu and Kashmir, India and serves to the people of Kathua district and its adjoining areas. It is about 3 km from the heart of the Kathua city. It runs courses in Sciences, Arts, Firshries, Computer Sciences (BCA) for three years degree courses. The college is affiliated to University of Jammu. During any given year 3000+ students study for the various courses. The selection to the courses is based on the +2 marks. Hostel facilities are also provided for boys and girls.& i am also student of government degree college kathua i am in 5sem and my combination is . Chemistry zoology fisheries i am single student of this combination and the department of fisheries is the best department in jammu university . But condition of college is not good and hostel for boys is not good i am also hosteler and mess staf of hostel is good they make bad mill

Placements: There are no placements in this college. I studied in this college for a long time, but there is no placement. Some students tried to convince the administration for placements. Please who read this, do help us for better future. We want placements for a better future.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms(big), library, sports and games, etc. are available in this college. Parking is separated for students and teachers. The canteen is good in this college. Students security is good. High rated classes are available. The college gives the best to the students.

Faculty: The faculty in this college are good. They were too brilliant. They are well qualified, this college is government based, so faculty members come by knowledge. Teaching quality is good, the students understand what teachers want to tell us or teach us.

Washrooms are dirty, most of them aren't capable of using!! Lotsss of dust in classroom as well as the other areas!!! Most of the teachers are excellent! Academically alright but mangement wise this college is in the wrong path

College repeatedly secures top positions amongst all the Jammu region colleges during the final year results. Best part of college is that there is no student politics here and one can focus on studies without any problem. faculty is good and cooperative
