Previously Darbhanga college of engineering known as JMIt, In 2008 nitish kumar inaugurated again with a new name DCE. It is situated on NH57 mabbi Darbhanga.

Darbhanga College of Engineering (DCE Darbhanga) is a government-owned engineering (B.Tech.) college in Bihar, India.[1] It was inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar, in 2008. It is affiliated with the Aryabhatta Knowledge University (AKU), Patna[2] and approved by the AICTE.[3] The college is administered by Department of Science and Technology, Bihar.[4]

Among the top 5 govt engineering colleges of bihar under state government. Good for students who wish to study for GATE or other government exams. Very nominal academic fee.

Now A well developed infrastructure and one of the best technical institute of Bihar.There are four streams as Civil,Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics and Computer Science engineering is being taught.

It is one of the best engineering college of Bihar.It is not as best as Nits,IITs colleges but still good.It is a tequip funded college.college campus is good but outside of college campus is not good.All tequip funded teachers are teaching well but colleges local teachers are teach very well.All seniors are good except some seniors.
Here it's has hostel facilities but you could alloted hostel after first year.
In this college labs, workshop like chemistry lab physics lab, computer science lab.
Due to tequip,here college provide internship.
Campus placement is not so good.you can try off- campus

I think the best thing of this college is having well qualified faculties for each branch and a ragging free campus.It has eco friendly campus and many of the events and activities are organized here like Gyaniki, Cultural & Tech Fests, Robitics, Hackathons and many more..
DCE has a good Academic and Lab infrastructure.There is a Training & Placement Cell & This Institute is supported by MHRD TEQIP_||| for technical education quality improvement..!

One of the best engineering college in Bihar.awesome college campus and well equipped with labs.studying here is a grate experience for me .loved the place.
