This is the oldest polytechnic college in bihar.Govt. Polytechnic, Gaya was established in year 1960.Govt. Polytechnic, Gaya is situated at the place of enlightenment of “Lord Gautam Buddha” The institute is one of the fastest growing technical institutes in Bihar. It is a fully government institution managed by the Govt. of Bihar. The college is approved by AICTE and is affiliated to the State Board of Technical Education (SBTE), Bihar, Patna. Govt. Polytechnic, Gaya presently offers diploma courses in five streams of engineering, Civil Engg., Computer Science and Engg., Electrical Engg., Electronics Engg. and Mechanical Engg.Govt. Polytechnic, Gaya is situated at Ghugharitand (Bodh Gaya Bypass Road). Which is located at the distance of about 7 K.M. from Gaya Railways station and 500 m. from N.H. 83 in Bodh Gaya Bypass Road. Nearest international Air Port is Gaya Airport 10 K.M. and Patna Airport is at a distance of 110 K.M. World famous holy shrine of Buddhism known as, “Bodh Gaya” is situated at about 8 kilometers from our institute,G P Gaya.The Campus is spread over 22 acre.It has class rooms, Workshop, engineering and non-engineering laboratory.The library of G PGaya has a rich collection of books; presently it has about 10000 copies of books So this college is overall best college for diploma in Bihar.
