ଉତ୍କଳିକା Utkalika

It is a branch of the famous Odisha Handloom located just opposite Swargadwar crematorium. It has one of the biggest collection of handloom products ranging from mind boggling desisgn of sarees, dress materials for both male and female. Very pocket friendly and the service is fantastic. This showroom is better than the one in Kolkata.

I love this place when I think of buying some traditional gifts which I could use to gift. Prices are reasonable and they keep stuff made in Orissa and of good quality.

It's a handloom shop of Odisha State Handloom. Good handloom made sarees and other dress materials are available here in reasonable price.

A shop consists of several products especially from the remote areas of Odisha. But I found some items are over priced, some are outdated or expired whereas some are cheap. Overally a time pass shop.

Govt. Shop of Odisha handicrafts & Griha Udyog . Here the prices of the products are high in comparison to markets at puri & Bhubaneswar .

Good place to buy bed linens and printed dress materials. They accept cash nd card but you have to bargain to get a good deal.

This is a small shop. They have about four employees. You have to bargain here. We went here as we were told that we will get authentic odissa fabrics. But the stock was old. Some fabrics were tearing, some were faded. The redymade garments were not stitched well.
If you want cheap gifting options then this place is okay.
The staff are not knowledgeable. Whatever you plan to buy make sure to ask the price of it not once but twice so that you are sure about it of the cashier will claim it was another cloth that he told the lower price.
It's not a happy shopping place.
