Road connectivity is good, roads are not too good there are some patched,
once you reach there You have to park your vehicle on the road and have to walk for 5 minutes to reach the destination
Try to visit during the evening, you can see the colorful sky and feel the cool wind.
There is not much to see but a good place to take some photos.
Usually fishermen come there to ask for a coracle ride for 100 or 150 rps, i prefer to avoid that, because they are not permitted to take you on the coracle as well there is no life jackets, they come there to make some small money but be cautious about what you choose, I'm writing this because I have took that ride for 150 rsp but didn't felt safe

This century old abandoned church is a magnificent structure located on the banks of Hemavathi river. It is a famous tourist spot and the church submerges during the monsoon and water level recedes during the summer. Parking is not available, but can park the vehicle on the road side and walk towards the church in the mud road for about 500 meters.

Beautiful photogenic place situated at the backwater of Hemavathi reservoir. The road leading to the place is not in good shape. So drive carefully. When the Hemavathi reservoir is full, the church gets submerged in water and will not be accessible. The best time to visit would be when the water just starts receding, it provides a wonderful backdrop to the church.

A photogenic place. Well we visited this place in wrong season, but loved the greenery around it and the church looked good even when only 1/4th of the upper part was visible. Good for weekend getaway from Bengaluru. Roads till NH75 is good but the inner roads are not comfortable, lots of patches and holes. But the view around it was nice. Nearby there is a cafe which gives good food and free parking place.

Have visited this church twice. Once in aug 2017 and the second time in Aug 2022. The pics that you see are from the 2022 visit.

The church was submerged and I was shocked to see it that way. The same time five years ago, one could witness the church in ruins.

Place is good but the roads leading to the place are horrible.

Wonderful place. Limited crowd. The place is a bit windy and the sunset is amazing. You can also see Gorur dam on the far left of the church. There is also a bridge towards the right side of the church and the view from there is also amazing. Must visit place when you are going to sakleshpur or hassan. 3/4 of the church will be usually under water. As it's summer now, the water has reduced and you can see the entire church. A couple of months ago, there was heavy rain in Karnataka and 2 walls of the church have fallen, hope the others will stand strong

Since it is not a proper commercialized tourist spot, the road reaches around 300m away from the spot. From there, you can take your vehicle off-road or walk. There aren't much things to see inside or out, the church itself is a treat to the eyes.
Recommended timing: Mornings or evenings
There are no shops close by except maybe one or two sugarcane juice carts.

This place is beautiful and not crowded. We visited in January and the church was submerged only with water till knee level making it easier to walk through and explore. Completely surrounded by water this place is a treat to your eyes. Visiting during monsoon is not recommended as the church would be almost covered with water.
