Anjappar Authentic Chettinad Restaurant

We wanted to shop for our anniversary so we had to go to erode, due to delay in shopping we were left hungry and started searching for a place to have our dinner. I found Anjappar on my way and decided to have our dinner. We ordered sweet corn soup. Sweet corn sweet did not have sweet corn flavour, it was too sweet. We then ordered main course which tasted ok. Over all a good experience but could be better. Total bill was 751 for 2 people.

This restaurant dining table has got many things to mention. It's got cockroaches flying around, mosquitos, unclean washroom, dimmed lighting don't know why, AC was not good, and the people from kitchen dine in side by side with the customers even before their shifts are complete. I remember to have gone to this place during it's initial months of their opening in erode- food was amazing and service as well.. that's before 5yrs .. don't know what happened post lock down. Poor service and insects all around makes me wonder thequality of kitchen..

Worst place in Erode to have biriyani. No flavour or taste. All you will feel is overloaded spices.. ambience needs an improvement and so is quality of service.

Anjappar is know for Chettinad style of cooking. The masala blend in Chicken Vazha elai parotta was perfect with more pepper in it. The biriyani was good too. Average cost per person will be around 350 to 500.

On 15/11/2022 we had some dinner.i have never seen such worst srvice in my life.whatever we asked nothing was available. Even chilli sauce was not available. Quality romba kevalama irundhadhu. I had for rs 1633.for chicken fried rice they have taken 45 mts

Food tastes good when it is served hot.
But none of the Anjappar serves Briyani hot I don't know why. Every one should check this before they order Briyani

Nice Chettinad style hotel anyways price doesn't justify the quantity though but if u love the Chettinad tast then can definitely give a vist that u won't regret...
