A very beautiful Parci cemetery. Unique location by the side of valley.
In British era rich Parsi community people had owned large plots and big villas in Matheran. Now these are the remains.
The Tombstones are in White Marbles, very beautifully carved. Each Tomb is unique and the names engraved along with the dates back to early 20th Century. These tombs I think are also representing the Carver's skills.
It seems that the community is still maintaining the cemetery, though not well. It's a historic place for the Parsi Community depicting their culture and richness.
The calm and quietness in the dense forest is very soothing. I loved it. Though it is gated you can visit any time.
