Toss Glamping

The place is breathtaking. Those who plan to go there, with a spirit of adventure, will not be disappointed. The property in itself is pretty small and maintained reasonably well. However, the views from and around the place is awesome. The service is also top notch. It must be noted that the guests need to trek for about 600 metres or so, including up/ downhill climbs. Porter facility may not be available. So pack light. Also the wash rooms are common to all, except for a singular WC attached to the largest 'A' frame hut meant for 4 people.

A unique camping experience in a serene location away from the crowds. If you don't mind experimenting and love the outdoors, then go for it. But don't expect a typical resort like experience as that is not the intent of this property.

Points to note:
It's a light trek of around 400m from the road to the site, so elderly might not find it easy
There are no resort like activities, TV, games etc. It's just nature you get to enjoy
Amenities are limited. Common bathroom and toilet. If you are finicky about such things, then this is not the place for you

If all of the above is OK with you, then you will love the ambience of serenity with the most rolling on and off creating beautiful visuals as you sit peacefully sipping tea.

Staff is super helpful and food is very good with a homely feel to it.

The location is beautiful and the staff provided good service. But , the place was so unhygienic and not maintained properly because the owner of the property is greedily charging more money but not investing any to maintain the place .the cabins smelled and had fungus all over the cabin walls , the sheets were used multiple times and not washed , the windows and doors were broken, the toilets were horrible and unclean . I would say there were spreading infections. Overhyped and not worth your time and money .

You can’t call it GLAMPING , glamping is …… Involving accommodation and facilities more luxurious than those associated with camping…. I booked the place for 2 nights after confirmation from the host that the accommodation I booked had attached toilet . But to my surprise it did have a toilet with only wc but outside the room on the same level . And the room was very very basic with the mattress n pillows on a low height bed . We check in around noon and because of no insulation it wash very hot inside , we could afford to checkout because we only paid a small token amount for booking… To all fellow travellers my suggestion would be to check the place before booking or giving advance payment. Because there is no refund amount in case u opted out . The location is very good , I cannot comment on the service or staff because we didn’t stay there . It is overpriced also .

The pictures portray something else contrary to what you will see if you ever happen to book this place. To get there you have to literally walk so much with minimal help with your luggage. You may even enjoy the climb but after you reach the place , the glass house is extremely small with zero ventilation, it’s like you’re in a cage, no fans nothing. And just incase you reach there by 12 or 1 you will have to wait for the glass cabin to cool down, so what do you do till then ?? Wait outside. Because we were expected to do so after travelling from Munnar to this place tired and hungry to wait for the weather to change and the glass cabin to cool down 🤣🤣
This place is a big big NO! Please do not get deceived by the pics.

Very unhygienic. The glass cabin has no ventilation or insulation and becomes extremely hot and suffocating if the sun is out. There are no fans or AC in the glass cabin. Also, the glass cabin is located at a lower area. The cafe and Tower house are elevated. So despite the curtains, the glass cabin has no privacy.

I request everyone to read my review before booking this place!

This was one of the trip which I had too much expectations, but let me tell you I got deceived by the Google, Instagram pics and reels.

Let me explain you what happened before we reached the place. We were heading from theni and we started early to cover some places near vandiperiyar. It was around 11am i opened my Instagram (i have notifications snoozed for insta) and I saw some 12 missed called and messages saying if we could cancel our booking for the day and postpone some other day! As there is a clash as other couple has booked, Really?!!! We had booked 16 days prior!
We were already in Vandiperiyar and just 12kms away from the glamping site. While booking they had taken my phone number, gmail id and sent me a confirmation mail too for the half amount paid. They did not even have guest names and phone numbers noted on the current day guest list. I was surprised on this kind of arrangement ! Clearly told them we cannot cancel and we have really reached the place.

Place is cool, you need to walk around a 1km to reach the glamping site. That's okay it's like a small trek. But once we reached the weather was too bad and the care taker took an hour more to provide us our cabin. We had booked for a glass cabin and it was our anniversary outing.

Finally entered our glass cabins and we were resting for a while, again we got a call from the owner saying if we can vacate the cabin and take some other cabins. Again, this too was unbearable how would you request your guest who has booked for a certain thing to vacate? We then saw other cabins, trust me other cabins are way too spacious and comfortable compared to glass. Don't get deceived by the reels! We ha d a good night's sleep at the tree top cabin. I would thank the owner for that😅

It wasn't only with us, whoever had booked that day the other guests had also same situations where cabins were not allocated and planned well. Few couples had to sleep in the tent and the weather was extremely cold. I also heard the other gang of 8 people fighting over phone for the unorganised way of treating guests.

And coming to activities, there is literally nothing. We just have to sit and keep waiting for dinner. Not even evening snacks. All we get is sulaimani chai 24*7. This is my third glamping site stay which was one of the worst. Glamping sites are with attached toiled and it's all about activites. Campfire, groupings, snacks, trekking.

But appreciate the care taker Dharmaraj's effort to take us to a short trek when we told us this stay didn't meet our expectations. Food cooked by him was very delicious but only single item for dinner chapathi and chicken and breakfast was idli sambar chutney, But this glamping site needs more organized way of treating guests and plan some good activities. Owners are just concerned about the money. The only person on the site is care taker and his sons.

The camping site at Suryanelli, Jaguar hideout was way too much better at 7000ft ASL they provided us everything! Evening snack, soups, campfire (though it was raining it was arranged in a shed) , music session by the host, food ( so many varieties starters, main course, salads) and morning 5kms trek to peak and an awesome breakfast with Idly sambar chutney, salads, bread, eggs, butter, cut fruits, juice/tea/coffee and a long HML plantation walk for 1hr with breathtaking views of waterfalls, and all on the same price what we paid here!

Dear owners, we come with so much expectations to spend some quality time on our special occasions and you deceive us with giving such a big list of activities and there's no one even to guide us there. It's our hard earned money where we expect you to atleast organize well. Hope you don't delete my reviews. I expect you too improve your arrangements.

We have booked a glass cabin. Due to weather conditions we cancelled and we are yet to get the refund amount.Very bad hosting.Even after 6 months they have not issued the refund amount.Thses guys are cheating and i will file complaint against them.
