If you are camping then its a good place,but if you are on a tour and expecting luxury then its not a right place for you. On Manali highway,on the bank of river 'Beas'. Also good place for bird watching.

Worst experience with this basecamp. Roomes were full of bugs and below average quality of YHAI. Drinking water was polluted. YHAI needs to look for another campsite, tents could be way more better than this.

It was very wonderful experience with youth hostel association of India. All people from different state stayed together just like they knew each other since long time. The food given by YHAI was delicious as compared to paid fees/contribution of program. They used to give tea early in morning @6AM , breakfast @8AM, lunch @12.30 PM,some snacks @4PM, dinner@8PM and last nothing but bournvitta @9.30PM. Also they have provided guidance for cycling expedition which I had registered for.

Food Quality good but Chapati took 3 times and all time very hard, not easy to eat. But vegetables was very tasty.

Its was an adventure trip... unforgettable, most memorable too.. due to heavy road Works going on.. there was huge dust coming on to the camp too... the view on the other side was lovely, with great mountains, some things should be added like DUST BINS IN GOOD SIZE TO CAPTURE ALL THE USED WATER BOTTLES, AND OTHER PLASTIC WRAPPERS TOO... AND ROOS SHOULD BE WHITEWASHED ONCE BEFORE THE CAMP STARTED SO THAT the visitors would have pleasant living at the camp, the toilet where in very bad condition, if this can be observed, this YHA WOULD GET more and more visitor, members, and cyclists too
