Amazing food with a compact menu. Right on the budget. Pleasant ambience and good service. The pizza and the drinks(berry ice tea) were topnotch.
They're known for their in-restaurant small libraries. The downside is that this particular branch has an open kitchen, the fumes accumulate the place.

The place is quite spacious and interesting, with a concept of Restaurant along with a library. I did find families with kids and school and college students, sitting with books there. Be in story books or study courses, keep it on while munching your favourite. There is a wide collection of books along with a wide spread of food menu for all.

This is the 1st time i visited the Egmore branch and the ambience was pretty cozy and well crowded as well for a weekday. The staff are very welcoming, warm with fast service. They maintain a very friendly relationship with the customers. They end up sharing a special bond. The service was pretty good.

Coming to the food, we ended up ordering quite a lot of food, i even missed taking a pic of most of them. The drinks were fresh and yumm but seemed a bit pricey, the fish, rice, toasties, pasta, pizzas, coffee and was decent enough, some of it was yummier than the other, pizza was pretty good though.

Keeping the crowd and location in mind, it is fair enough in regards to the pricing. I can always give it a visit for its books, ambience and pizza!

I hope my experience helps!

The cafe is more crowded than usual during lunch but later in the evening its more leisure and free. The food here is good and especially the flat bread pizza and the blueberry crumble was phenomenal. The staffs are courteous. We recieved the soups AFTER the starters which was quite a bummer but overall the dining experience was very good. Highly recommended it for a group of friends who want to spend time in a pocket friendly yet nice place!

We are Americans visiting southern India & our tour guide brought us here. Absolutely delicious cafe food, we had a pizza, fish & chips, and pasta. Everyone was beyond happy. We also ordered a juice, coffee & latte. Absolutely delicious, you can see it being made fresh in the kitchen, and the owner/manager was the kindest most attentive woman. Good meaning behind the shop too- I’m trying to convince my group to stop again before we leave!

Located on a busy road. Cramped roads to be honest. Although in the heart of the city.

Limited Car Parking space available ( 4-5 cars)
Decent ambience and noisy if it’s occupied by (60-70) percent.
Starters are usually good and okayish.
Onion rings is the best one possible out of all.
Rest of all the items are average.

The quality of the items are completely hidden under the heading of economy.

The staff are least knowledgeable in service and suggestions etc

You can avoid coffees, pasta , many deserts. Very very few and good to consume.

The prices are economical.
For people who choose quality, it’s definitely not a good experience.

2/10 items are good and decent here.

They have got a lot to improve on many areas.
Cuisines to service and pricing etc.

Weekends and evening are very much crowded due to the economic pricing.

Nothing much to remember. Except the pet that most writer cafe outlets have a book store attached which is a thing I personally enjoy.

Hope the review helps few.

A good pocket friendly restaurant. The staff are very friendly and courteous. I've been here on multiple occasions and the good is pretty good. On my last visit, the food was not properly prepared - the pepper mushroom was over salty, the Spanish omelette seemed a little hard (maybe overcooked) and the mac cheese was not as cheesy as before. The toasties are really good. They could also improve the quantity of starters. The desserts were very good. We felt that post covid they have improved the dessert segment by miles. However the menu can also be refreshed a bit.

Extremely poor customer service. Took long time to give food. Asked three staffs about the bill but took another half an hour to get the bill.

Food was good. Had chicken carbonara and chicken skillet gravy. Both were quite good. Mashed potatoes was a disappointment though.

I used to get takeaway mostly and i have dined in once as well and the food is good here. This place has good pizza, desserts (best lemon tart i have had so far) and snacks. We even got my birthday cake from here once. This would be my go to place if i am in this area
