Jadavpur 8B Bus Terminus

Nicely maintained bus terminal. One of the busiest bus stop in kolkata just the opposite of Jadavpur University.

The busiest bus terminus of South Kolkata, just opposite JU, is also one of the oldest. Most of the buses that ply from here are supplied from Lake Depot, the rest from HD, TPD and SLD.

The Howrah bound 8B bus, after which the terminus is named, is now defunct and has been substituted by E1, an executive bus, which strictly follows a no-standing protocol. Buses to Saltlake, Behala Chowrasta and New Town are also available at regular intervals.

Other than a smart card counter, eatery and public toilet, the terminus has a decent seating facility of more than 40 seats, which remain occupied most of the time by beggars, touts, jobless mavericks, and a few idle dadus, who keep a hawk eye on the passengers.

I follow this person in AC 9 bus everyday, this conductor is too bad behaviour , type of tickets collection is too bad. He many times touched female body (Not accidentally) and bad behaviour with female & handicapped passengers.
So many female and handicapped passengers are requesting please replace this conductor.

Well decorated bus terminus with seats available for rest equipped with fan and light. Well mentioned Bathroom. And the last but not the list "The Chef" Hotel and restaurant at the corner of the bus stand.

A common bus terminus for almost all 4 directions in Kolkata. It is also a hub for delicious street food, a bazaar, stationery shops, sweet shops and confectionery. Not to forget, one of the cheapest place for Xerox and Printing(Binding) in South Kolkata.

Jadavpur 8B Bus Terminus is a renowned place of south kolkata. It is very near to the Jadavpur University. Many buses start from here. This is a very lively place. There are many small shops, one or two restaurants etc. There is one pay and use washroom too. There are so many roadside eating places nearby. they are numerous. You can get all types of foods in this small roadside restaurants namely Chinese items like chowmein, fried rice, Chilie chicken, Momo, South Indian foods like idli Dosa border or aur other items like kachori, rice, fish curry, Khichdi, Rolls, fried items, sandwiches and what not.
