Thiruvaiyaru is Gateway to Ariyalur and major cities of the district. There is an direct bus facility to chennaj and connecting buses to Ariyalur,Peramablur,Salem,kallanai,Kumbakonam,Thanjavur,Trichy etc., Mainly all the major villages are connected through thiruvaiyaru from Thanjavur. But the place needs to be cleaned and maintained well. Also people needs to be keep it clean. In the morning time you can find all types of Keerai. Outside bus stand. And also the Banana and betel leaves (Vethala).very good price . If your are passing in the bus the vendors use to come inside and try to keep it in lap and sale it you need to bargain the price . Normally they sale it for 15 to 20 Rs for a Bunch.
