Hunsur is a small town between Mysore and Madikeri. The Saibaba temple on the highway is the major attraction of this little township. There is a hill temple called Ayyappa Devasthana some two kilometres on the Tellicherry Road. The town hall park is suitable for a leisurely stroll because the perimeter is half a kilometre long. A large number of people come to the town hall park for evening park and for enjoying the snack stalls on one side of the promenade. There are cement benches where you can sit comfortably and watch children play in the grass. Hotel Devi Prasad near the old bridge on B.M.Road is suitable for good vegetarian food. There is a hanging bridge which can be accessed on foot from the Government hospital area or from Hotel Devi Prasad area on the other side of the river.
