Japanese Temple

I visited Japanese temple of Buddha in Sarnath in Feb 2020. It is a wonderful place. The temple architecture is Japanese. It is so beautiful from outside.
Once you enter the temple, you are awed by the reclining Buddha statue. This is made up of Sandalwood. I prayed to Buddha for the betterment of mankind!
The inside of the temple is awesome! It creates a feeling of satisfaction!
Beyond the reclining Buddha statue is a statue of Buddha and it is decorated so well.
It was getting dark when I entered the premises and the electricity went off. Fortunately the generator was working and outside lights came up.
A must visit place in Sarnath!

This Japanese temple is a similar copy of the pagodas in Japan, hence you get a feel of the Japan temples. The temple is very nice to see and a delight to the eyes.. as its a clean place and well maintained… During November if one visits, one will get to see the decorations done as per the Japanese calender…

The decorations in November are very beautiful as they are done with large white colored paper
on the entrance and these decorations last in the Japanese temple for at least a month..

Very neat clean well maintained site. With a bodhi tree in the garden with Buddha statue beneath. The temple houses a full size Buddha idol carved out of sandal wood in mahaparinirvan posture. Entry free.

The temple is so nice and beautiful it is made from totally Japanese material.

The structure of the temple doesn't contain any single thing of the local market all things are imported from Japan.

There is total silence and discipline is maintained at its peak.

Very peaceful place must visit in sarnath.
From temple campus there will be gate also see the ashoka garden and bishwashanti stupa.
