祇園精舎の鐘です。
韓国寺院の隣にあります。
もともとインド仏教に梵鐘は無かったので、平家物語の冒頭は想像なんですね。
これは日本から寄進された鐘です。
インド政府に管理を一任しているようですが、
ちゃんと管理されていました。
屋根が少し崩壊してましたが、足場を組んで修理するところでした。
鐘は自由に突いていいようですが靴は脱ぐ必要あるみたい。
橦木が鎖とワイヤーで吊るしてましたが、
ガシャガシャいう音がして染み染みと鐘の声に聞き入る邪魔をします。道路から聞こえるクラクションも然り。
